The city enjoyed its Golden Age in the first half of the 18th C under August the Strong, Prince-Elector and King of Poland. The "Zwinger" (baroque palace), the Cathedral, the baroque "Königstrasse", Pillnitz Castle, and finally the countless artistic treasures of its museums and the incalculable wealth of the Princely Treasury remain as witnesses to the period. The Pappritzer Hof Training and Conference Hotel lies in a splendid, peaceful corner in the Schönfelder hills, a few minutes drive from Dresden.
