The Tenerife Government sponsors students to study at the F+U International Academy Berlin gGmbH Twenty young people from Tenerife between the ages of 14 and 17 receive financial help to spend two weeks of their annual holiday in Berlin. The students spend 5 hours a day learning German at the F+U Centre. In the afternoon and at weekends they can enjoy cultural trips. There is choice of many things to see including the Spreecity, Pergamon Museums, Postdam castle, The Egyptian Museum, the Lake Wann and the Berlin Zoos The F+U Centre is located in a brand new office building on Friedrichstrasse, it is a lively, upmarket street in the centre of Berlin. The Tenerife Government chose this project from many entrants in a competition. It won because it had the ideal combination of educational content plus the opportunity to enjoy cultural activities.
